A Study on the Improvement of High Efficiency Blower with 17,000 rpm Speed for Industry Application

The components of blower are composed of motor and impeller. Motors transform electric energy into mechanical rotating kinetic energy and this rotating kinetic energy produces flow through impeller. And thus blower is divided into motor and impeller. In actual development and study, the process of system formation is followed generally by joining the two independent research results. This study is thing to develop small size light weight high efficiency and high speed blower for industry. This paper deals with a design of high efficiency blower, especially brushless DC (BLDC) motor and impeller for blower. We have used the 2D Finite Element Method for calculating the characteristics of brushless DC (BLDC) motor, computing fluid mechanics (CFD) as numerical analysis for impeller design.
